Sometimes the simplest things are the deepest. Several times, the most obvious things are often ignored. A good percentage of the time, the principles, the most common are more circumspect. Maybe it's because we are so anxious to make a living that we forget to make a life.

One of the most overlooked principles of personal success is a word ignored of almost everyone – Goodwill. It is a principle so underused, yet so powerful, it can lead us to the heights of success. It is underutilized because people give the power to disarm hidden subtlety in such concepts as compassion, kindness, compassion, generosity and compassion.

In marketing to MBA school, we have learned many useful things about the advertising strategy for consumers to study the statistics of the sales campaign and to gain notice. To date, I use the tools in trade to help me in my business. But one thing that almost no one was hit on the concept of "good will".

Goodwill is not just a number on the remainder of the book, but it is an invisible tool, rarely used all we have at our disposal. Let me explain. Most of us could help to solve problems with one another, either by a phone call, an introduction or a referral, a signature or other obvious way. But we refuse to do so. Why? I will tell you why. Because we believe that there is something in it for us! Or we are afraid to get involved.

Let me tell you a true story. There were many year. A young woman came into the office of my assistant. She was looking for a job, but we had nothing to offer. Only a week before all vacancies were filled.

At the request of my assistant, I spoke with the young woman. It did not work this summer and will finish his last semester of studies and return home. She had been looking for a summer job for almost four weeks. Nobody wanted to hire her and took her to work for a short period.

I thought my days as a doctoral student and tagged her anxiety. Although there is no good business reason to do what I told my assistant to create a job for her. After all, she must help, and it was good to help someone without being listed in what was for me.

I could not see until the last day she came into my office to say goodbye. She thanked me again for the job and gave me a card.

"This is the card my dad," she said, "If you ever visit my country and to call my father, it would be very glad to meet you. I told him all about how you and your staff have been to me. In my country, my father is a member of Parlianment and an important man. "

And this is how I found myself having lunch with the mayor of Nairobi, a dinner with Vice President of Kenya and make business alliances that brought me to earn hundreds of times the salary we paid for help this summer.

Besides that I liked to do a photo safari in the Serengeti Plain in East Africa, walking along the beaches in Mombasa and sipping Pimms # 3 at Mount Kenya Safari Club, while enjoying the magnificent views of the snowcapped peak of Mount Kenya. Although Kikuyu dancers reminded me of the thrilling adventures in foreign climes.

This is not an isolated case. It's just one of those expectations more evident. You never know who will lead you to the next contact, contract or return additional funds you need. It is important that we treat everyone with dignity and respect. REMEMBER: Business does not do business with other companies. People do business with people.

The Internet is on computers, technology or marketing. It would be like saying that cars are on the internal combustion engine and the laws of thermodynamics. The Internet is about people and communication. If we communicate with honesty and emotion, we would see that most of the others respond in kind.

So at every opportunity, do something for someone else who is unable to do it alone. Do not worry about this you get away. The universe has a way to pay too weird to comprehend. Make "good will" and you want wealth without faith.
